The 20° Ballast is one of the most used when high inclinations are preferred to maximize the production of photovoltaic systems. It can be installed on all types of surfaces: green roof, sheath, concrete or flooring, on the ground, etc. thanks to the fact that it doesn’t need to be fixed and due to its weight, it guarantees strong wind resistance. An excellent choice in cases where the inclination needs to be high but the system is located in a very windy area.
The Sun Ballast 20° mounting system is made of vibrated and reinforced concrete and allows for a 20° inclination. The material used for the ballast has an exposure class of XC4 as well as a strength class of C32/40. It serves both as support and ballast for the photovoltaic panels and does not need to be fixed to the roof but only placed on it. During installation, a protective rubber sheath is laid between the support and the roof. The photovoltaic panels are attached to the support equipped with an M8 bushing using special central clamps, and the module orientation can be horizontal or vertical.
