The 10° Sail System is a variant of the 5° Sail, designed with a greater inclination and three consecutive rows of photovoltaic panels, instead of the six in the 5° model. This configuration allows for maximum use of the available surface, also reclaiming the area usually reserved for shading between rows. In the same space, up to 20% more modules can be installed compared to a traditional system.
The system also adapts well to short sails or single rows. In these cases, the front part of the “system can be raised up to 60 cm from the support surface, thus reducing” exposure to shadows generated by elements such as parapets or chimneys. The panels must be installed exclusively horizontally.
The support, made of vibrated and reinforced concrete, ensures a 10° inclination. The ballast, with exposure class XC4 and strength class C32/40, serves a dual function: it supports and ballasts the modules without the need for anchoring. It is placed directly on the roof, on top of a rubber membrane that protects the surface.
Each support is equipped with an M8 bushing and allows for panel fixing using central clamps. The system optimizes the system’s performance and facilitates safe, stable, and long-lasting installation.
The ballasts of the 10° Sail system can be used individually as well, without the need to join them in multiple sails. This flexibility allows adapting the system to irregular roofs or limited spaces, always maintaining stability and safety.
